Bluebells, Cherry Blossom, Daffodils, Tulips, & Snakes Head Fritillary – a Cotswold floral extravaganza !

The Bluebells were in the woodland on route to Dursley from Tetbury – yes there really is a town called “Dursley” – thats where JK Rawling got the name!!

The Cherry Blossom, Daffodils and Tulips were at Beverston Castle (built 1225) near Tetbury.

The Snakes Head Fritillary was at North Meadow in Cricklade. Cricklade is the first town on the River Thames and North Meadow is a “water meadow” on the River Thames often submerged in water. North Meadow has 80% of the UK’s “stock” of Snakes Head Fritillary – this delicate little flower is very rare.
